Brief About Scholar: K. Kesava Rajarajan (alias R.K.K. Rajarajan), Assistant Professor in Fine Arts at the Gandhigram Rural Institute â€" Deemed to be University (GRI), Gandhigram, Tamil Nadu. He has worked as Associate Professor in Visual Studies at the School of Arts and Aesthetics, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and in the Eritrean Institute of Technology, Asmara. He was an Alexander von Humboldt Post-doctoral Fellow, in the Institut für Indische Philologie und Kunstgeschichte, Freie Universität, Berlin, Germany. He is a prolific contributor to international journals and published works from Netherlands, Cluj-Napoca, Rome, Naples, Berlin, Reinbeck, Oxford & IBH, Routledge, Bangladesh and several more in India (International: 28 & National 39). He has presented thirty-eight papers in both national and international arenas; and delivered twenty lectures. His works on Samāpti-Suprabhātam â€" Reflections on South Indian Bhakti Tradition in Literature and Art (with Raju Kalidos & K. Parthiban, 2017), Masterpieces of Indian Literature and Art - Tears of Kaṇṇaki: Annals and Iconology of the ‘Cilappatikāram’ (2016), Rock-cut Model Shrines in Early Medieval Indian Art (2012), Art of the Vijayanagara Nāyakas: Architecture and Iconography 2 vols. (2006), and MÄ«nākṣÄ«-SundareÃ…›vara: Tiruviḷaiyāá¹­aṟ Purāṇam in Letters, Design and Art (2013) in collaboration are norm-setting.
