Base of VACCINE:
what is vaccine:
Vaccine is nothing but just a biological substance that contains the dead cells of a particular disease. Which on entering human body they start or initiate the body to produce anti-bodies against the disease and ensures that the person who gets vaccinated does not get the same disease in future.
Why vaccination?
Vaccination is very necessary because as its function is to generate anti-bodies in the body and make them to fight back against the disease. As the Corona virus hit the world, many developed countries were already in race to invent vaccine for the on going pandemic. In December 2020, United Kingdom became the first country in the world to approve for COVID vaccine. Even though China had prepared vaccine well before UK did but China had not approved that vaccine yet.
COVAXIN- India's first vaccine.
COVAXIN, India's indigenous COVID-19 vaccine which is developed by Bharat Biotech in collaboration with ICMR-National Institute of Virology(NIV). The vaccine is developed using whole-virion inactivated Vero cell derived platform technology, Inactivated vaccines do not replicate and are therefore unlikely to revert and cause pathological effects. They contain dead virus, incapable of infecting people but still able to instruct the immune system to mount a defensive reaction against an infection.
