KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS

KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS:

KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS is celebrated every year on 26th of July in the remembrance of all the heroes of our country who sacrificed their precious life for our motherland. KARGIL war took place in the year 1999 between India and Pakistan and it lasted for 60 days, finally it got ended on 26th July 1999 by taking over the region which were taken by Pakistan. At the earlier start of the war Pakistani Government had assured that there is involvement of Pakistani army led by General ASHRAF RASHID in the revolt instead it had said that this act was performed by some local Kashmiri groups. However , through the intelligence it was found that there was a major involvement of Pakistani army.
Every year this event is celebrated at KARGIL sector and in Delhi, where the Prime Minister pays homage to the soldiers at AMAR JAWAN at INDIA GATE. Not only in national capital but also it is celebrated across the country. This war had a severe impact on both the sides. There was a loss of lives on both side, even many casualties were reported.
The two main reasons for this war to happen was nuclear testing and sending Pakistani paramilitary forces to Indian territory. The heated argument due to the above reasons led to the war between two nations.
The result of this war was unbearable to anyone of us as we lost around 527 brave hearts of our country  and almost 1363 soldiers got wounded. The deed that soldiers did for many Indians is unforgettable and they remain in our hearts forever. They sacrificed their family to protect ours. Its our duty to remember their glory and praise them.
Not only family but also sacrificed their sleep, food , didn't care about their health, and fought selflessly. Hence war ended and again India gained control over the regions that were once overtaken by Pakistan.

"Soldier is not just a person
One is our Pride,
Army is our Glory,
Honor we earned"

A soldier is never on holiday

Wishing you all a very proud KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS
